Had a great time at the Michigan Regional last weekend. Lots of interesting cars were there and I met a bunch of nice guys. Thanks, Michigan Chapter. Vinnie's posted a bunch of photos in a sticky thread above, including a few of my car and some nice kids who came by to look at it. Thanks Vinnie.

On a less positive note, I twisted off a fuel injection cable on start-up Sunday morning and couldn't get the car out of the trailer. All my spare cables were 250 miles away, as I took the one I keep in my glove box out to have the car judged. Couldn't drive to Milford proving grounds and I've wanted to go there since I left GM many yeas ago.

Also, even NCRS events have people who don't respect your car. My car was judged Friday, so when I showed up Saturday morning, judging was well underway. There stood some guy I'd never seen before, with his butt against the nose of my car, drumming his fingernails on my paint...

Oh well...

Sorry about the cable. Were you able to attend as a passenger?

I was lucky to have WALT THURN as my passenger on Sunday. Weather was not perfect, but we did proceed. Walt got some photos and later wrote a nice article for VETTE Magazine (part of the HOT ROD Net.). See this for starters:

I may have misspelled a couple of names, but I am reading from my judging sheets. All Judges were very good at explaining their reasons for my vehicle demerits in a way that was objective and fair. I would give them all an excellent rating. I would like to recognize Patricia Kropac and Joe Marocco especially for giving me suggestions on how I could make corrections and where to obtain information to make my car perfect.
