    AC

I believe that the high side for charging the AC is on the compressor and low side by the STV. Am I correct?

    Re: AC

Mel, I am not home so I'm going from memory (dangerous). There are two fittings on the back of a mid-year compressor (at least a 64/65 that I am familiar with), the "suction" side which comes from the firewall area and is where you add a charge. The other side is high pressure going to the dryer then the condenser (in front of the radiator). Hopefully others will confirm what I said. Good luck, Don H.

      Re: AC

Mel the low side generally has the bigger dia. hose and high side has the smaller dia hose. Low side is the port used to charge the system, fitting at the STV is the high side. if your using a A/C machine you can use either side because It has its own pump.
