Can someone tell me what color clamp should be on the fuel filter to carburetor and what color should be on the breather line from the carb to the oil filer on a L76 (365 hp) 1965 corvette? The green phosphorus clamps are on the two big lines at tank and at fuel pump. Ok to use same clamps on breather and filter to carb line ? Thanks Tim

Re: 1965 fuel line clamp color
Timothy,
Clamps similar to those were used on the fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump and from the filter to the carb on 365 engines but originals were green and had squared off ears.
Those are probably GM replacement clamps which will work but are not as originals. Expect deductions.

Here is a picture of these - it would be nice to know when the rounded ones started to show up.
Note: if you grind the round ones to make square a good eye can catch.Attached Files- Top

As far as we know Joe tells it as it should be. If you look at the aim there are three different numbers for a 3/8” hose clamp. Sorry I don’t know the actual differences, yes color but what else I can’t say.- Top

Re: 1965 fuel line clamp color
When you grind down the round tabs it makes them shorter than what the original square tab are. A good judge will pick up on this then warrant a deduct. There is a flea bay dealer selling 2 original green ones for $15.95.- Top
