    1995 LT1 engine accessory belt # page 175 manual shows 10186198

I am wanting to confirm the OE Factory belt for a 1995 LT1 is 10186198 as listed in the manual on page 172 (shows same for 94-96). My 95 that I believe has the original belt on it (but I may have changed it 10 or so years ago says gm 10230259. That also is the part # I have asked my go to GM parts guys. The 10186198 is showing 92-93 LT1 and shows not superseded and 10230259 for 95-95 LT1. My belt is ok but wanted to pick up a spare, could anyone verify that this IS correct for 95 LT1 and not a misprint hold over from 92-93 . Both belts are still available.
    Thanks

Chris. all of the parts I have needed for my 93 ZR and my 90 L-98 came from two sources. First is from Mirrock C-4 OEM parts specialist, (818) 554-6560, located in Saltzburg, Pa., the other is Dirk Gaddis in Evergreen, Co. (303) 482-5214. When and where are you contemplating having
NCRS judge your car. After answering some of your questions I would feel honored at the chance to judge the beauty.

Ed. This is one's journey is scheduled to being June 23rd in Atlanta. I was really active with my other car before I moved, downsized my collection and now just have time to get back into things. I would like meet you soon! As far as the belt goes, my research in the last hours shows a double ribbed belt to sometime mid year 92-93 then to single sided belt from mid-93 to 96. I think the manual shows the double sided belt for 92-mid 93 as correct for 94-96, which is a different part number and single sided belt. Thanks!

That's how it is. The GM #10186198 belt is a belt with ribs on both sides. It was used only for 1992-E1993 LT1. The GM #10230259 is a belt with ribs on only one side. It was used from L1993-1996 for LT1 and LT4.

Good deal, maybe it will be corrected in the next printing of the 94-96 manual. Thanks!

Chris, I am attaching a photo that I think will answer your question. This was taken from a 1996 LT4 with 500 original miles on the clock. The second is from an 1995 LT1.

Chris - Tom Barr as NTL has "notes" in his "bible" and the GM #10230259 is listed as being the correct belt

RIGHT! That is also the belt that is one my car as from factory, the 94-96 manual though lists the part number for 94-96 as 10186198, which is incorrect. THANKS!!! (the 10186198 if the 92-mid 93 LT1 belt and is ribbed on both sides).
