    Steering column paint

I am restoring a steering column on a 1969 with black interior. I'm getting ready to paint the cover and want to get the color right. I have a paint gun and compressor so I'm not planning to use a spray can. Will any semi-gloss black work?

I can give you the Dupont Lucite lacquer code that was used for the steering columns in the late 60's. On the quart can I have it looks like 4466 L. Which is the correct sheen of semi-gloss black you want to use.
