Re: rpo 276 again
'61 P&A says Corvette, Passenger & 1/2 Ton. El Camino is referred to as Pickup, Delivery.
IIRC the El Camino was based upon the station wagon, which had 14 inch wheels.
One thing I know for sure about an El Camino is that you could get a turbo hydramatic transmission in them and they were prominent in drag racing.

Re: rpo 276 again
Correction: The El Camino is a "Wanna be" pick up truck. Love them suckers! Have had at least 15 of them, still have 2 including Special '85 Pace Car Edition. The answer to your question regarding RPO 276 for 348 equipped El Camino is no! This was an option offered on the Corvette only. The transmission options offered for the '59 & 60 El Camino etc. was: RPO 302 Turbo glide, RPO 315 Powerglide, possibly RPO 315 O.D. and RPO 685 Four Speed.- Top

Re: rpo 276 again
The GM #3748348 wheel is listed in my 1960 P & A catalog with application for 1957 - 60 Corvette - 15 X 5.50K. . The El Camino's used a 14 X 5.50J wheel, same as station wagon. The station wagon wheels became 14 X 6JK in 1961.
