    Why you never throw out the old parts.

    Working under the dash and I noticed the clip was missing that retains the antenna wire to the brace over the steering column.
    I had just looked this are up in the assembly manual and that's the only reason I knew it should be there.
    After I checked that it wasn't still attached to the bulkhead. Went over to the old wire and.....

    Good story and reminder of a good restoration practice.

    But my spouse keeps asking why I have boxes of old, worn out parts.

      Oh, how true. I gave away a 69 435 smog setup. Never again do I throw away or give away any original parts until I sell the car.
