The original color of the lower dash will not appear white to a lot of people. Even looking at mine today it appears to be another color. Off white color is also very noticeable on a gypsy red car with white seats. The snow white seats make the dash appear to be a cream color.

All the paint i'm finding on my car is beige definitely not white, almost white but beige. the JM shows beige, all the NCRS guys ( Tom aims and Steve Newsome) down here say beige. I matched shore line beige with my orig paint and it is not white it's shore line beige. I blew up the copper car and the paint in the speaker grill area looks darker than the rest of the dash. I'm going beige

Isn't Polo White really an off white? It has yellow in the formula as I recall.

              Re: 1955 corvette Copper

Judging guide states that gypsy red and copper cars have the same color on the lower dash. My gypsy red and copper car do appear to have the same color lower dash, so I guess that color is shoreline beige as stated in the guide. A problem with the judging guide is that there are a lot of errors. On the Color and Trim Chart they use car #596 as a gypsy red car. Evidently they have the wrong car and this is why they should always include the number of the cars or cars were they get the examples from.

You are correct Troy and that is why I thought the lower dash could be a Polo White. The judging manual says shoreline beige for copper and gypsy red cars.

I agree there are lots of errors. the copper cars should have body color on the end caps of the lower dash. The picture Joe posted have white ends, possibly repainted. In any event the colors we are finding that have not been disturbed are not white they are beige. RDR
