Dan, if the water pump pulley is stopped in the right position I can see the stamped part number on the pulley. My stamp says 3770245 CC . The stamp is toward the top before the grooved part of the pulley starts.

Yes, I was incorrect; I was thinking of a different pulley. On a GM #3770245 pulley the part number stamping is on the cone and not the water pump flange. So, it can be seen with the pulley installed on the car.

Dan, Read all the posts here. Although I am highly involved with NCRS I typically like to say a part or car should be restored to St. Louis assembly line specs. The way the car came down the assembly line. John D

Reading this post I get the sneaky suspicion the goal of poster is to try to fool the NCRS judging that this car came with an option it never had and not declare it and try to pass it thru judging without taking a deduction. Anyone else see this?

Change in the story you previous stated:

“Don't know if I will ever have the car judged again but I want to keep it as NCRS correct as possible.”

And I repeat NCRS does not support added/deleted options.

Time and sales resulting in changing hands has a way of altering a car’s history. I just don’t see the “numbers thing” being a factor for something just to be safe and drive. Just seems odd to me.
