    1963 shroud retaining bolt identification

    I had some luck installing the original lower baffle (Unsure of the official name) on my fan shroud on my 63.
    It is pictured below;

    I Hope i got the color of the shroud correct, I'm worried it's to much of a gloss black.
    Anyone know the type and head style of the shroud retaining bolts? The ones on the ends.
    Right now I have a bunch of left overs and am not sure what goes where.
    Also looking for information on the bolts that retain the top radiator bracket.
    thanks
    Rick

    Rich, my 63 has WB1C bolts that hold the shroud in place and the upper bracket retainers are WB.

      I believe these are the correct ones?
      I found a set of 9. 5/19 X 7/8 long with lock and flat washers.
      Only issue is the shroud takes 3 one each side and with the top bracket bolt its only 7 bolts and I have nine.
      The shims were also in the bag. My thought was possibly they are for retaining the core support.
      I checked and it only takes 2 5/16 bolts on each side and the frame bolts which appear to be 3/8 diameter. And I am not sure the washer would fit in that application. The rebuilder liked to use all new bolts and I'd prefer the used and rebuilt. But I understand the time thing and tracking bolts through the plating process.
      I would want to pay by the hour for that. However the old one were returned, for the most part.

      Core support bolt that is currently installed is pictured below. As it goes through fiberglass I am betting it should have a flat washer installed. Picture was taken from the wheel well.

        Rich, it looks like they are the correct bolts, I know that WB or WB1C are correct for 63. and 7/8 long is right on the spec for these bolts.

          If you have nine and only need seven the two extra may be horn attaching bolts. I believe in 1963 the horn bolts use lock washers not star washers.

            Thanks for the input. I agree the usage may be the horns as I hadn't thought of that. I checked LIC and they have horn bolts listed with star washers for the 63 so I mentally removed the possibility from the possible usage. I will check the horns for washer type markings, maybe another clue I overlooked. I am going to use the two extra bolts on the horns as you suggested. Headlight header wiring clips are also missing so I am adding them to the purchase list and removing the horn bolts.
