Good Morning Gents, was the application of green primer on the bird cage specific to practices in AO Smith or St. Louis or was this not specific to assembly plant?

Both St Louis and Smith used the green chromate zink primer on the bird cage. Smith also used the same primer on other metal parts that St Louis did not
