The trouble with these so-called "adjustable" VACs is that they don't allow independent changes of both vacuum and advance. The adjustment changes both simultaneously in a fixed way and rarely ends up optimized for the engine configuration.

I'll go one step further and call them "GARBAGE". I tried one once and that's where it ended up. I've always had great success with the regular units but thought I'd try one of them. BIG MISTAKE. I am a believer in the Lars/Oles vacuum advance limiters and now use them on every car I build with great results.
