    1966 L72 Fuel Pump

Hi Gents, is this OEM/assembly line original? If so, who would you suggest to rebuild it?

    Regards,
    Dan

    Dan-----

This is NOT an original 1966 L-72 fuel pump. For one thing, the original pump had a short inlet chamber, not the long style chamber seen on this pump. For another thing, the orientation of the inlet nipple is different than the original. So, this is some sort of replacement.

The original L-72 pump was GM #6416459, aka AC type 40358. These things usually sell for Big $$$$$. If I were going to drive the car, I wouldn't even consider using an NOS pump. I'd use a modern-day, NEW replacement and skip all the nuances of original configuration.
