I need to change the plastic filler on gas door. Have a new one but original is riveted in. How is the best way to remove and replace?

Re: 64 Gas tank Cover
Richard Fortier has a process to drill the rivets, install drive pins and then machine the heads to resemble the rolled studs as original. My car has been judged chapter and regional with no deduct. The heads are steel so they need to be waxed so as not to rust. Not cheap but I'm happy with it. He has a two page fastener ad in the DriveLine- Top

Give Joe Randolph (37610) a try, he usually does 67 doors but same method needs to be used.- Top
