    1956 1957 and later front motor mount

    Here are pictures of the early and late front motor mounts. The later one is also notched for the by pass.Look at the side that has the extra hole . you can see on the NOS one it is notched for access to the freeze plug

      GM often issued replacement parts (NOS) that were of later style configurations to service earlier vehicles.
