65' Short Throw shifter - how to change over

Hello to all; For my 65' L76........How does one go about changing the long throw shift over to short ? Any drawbacks ?
    Thank you in advance.

There are two holes on the first/second and third/fourth levers on the transmission, you go from the top hole to the bottom hole with the levers. You may need to work on the alignment of the gates so that the shifter moves smoothly from reverse to first/second and from first/second to third/fourth gear. It takes a bit more effort to shift on short throw. I used to set everything up on short throw, but now I leave all my shifters in the stock, long throw position. PV does not allow short throw if I remember correctly.

Hurst Competition Plus, if not a judged car. Far superior to stock unit IMO !
