Fuel filter leaking on GF432 filter

Guys, I bought anew filter to change and now I can't get it to stop leaking. It's on the lower portion of the filter. I haven't even tightened the top line to filter to the carb. I just can't figure this out. I have loosened and tightened many times and still small leak.

What did you guys do to correct the issue

    Thanks

Re: Fuel filter leaking on GF432 filter

Mark, I believe a GF432 filter is the same configuration as a '62 to '65 etc AC GF-90 Same idea. Cannister with hex fitting on each end.
Only way you could have a leak is at the fitting end of the filter. Unless the filter is defective?
I use Loctite 545 hydraulic sealer on those fittings. One could also use Permatex Aviation 3H. Keep back about a thread and a half. John
