I have seen bolts advertised with an "L" head, can anyone comment on whether these bolts could be correct and what C2 year would be applicable? Thanks

Paul, there were many suppliers for mid year the spare tire carrier bolts, I have seen no head mark bolts, and RBW, E, I would also say that L was another. 5/16 x1" recessed hex head with a separate washer.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Photo would help. Are you asking about long bolts with four sided head consisting of two straight flats and two “round” ends?

Thank you sir. I've seen EW and D as well as the two you mentioned. I thought L were also used, but good to know. The 6th Guide only mentions E and EW. My fear is they will only credit the two mentioned in the guide.- Top

Paul, those bolts likely do not have much point value. and most judges would except the repro bolts. if anything deduct there may only be 1pt., it all depends on the point value that the judge places on hardware, the hardware may also inc. the tub hanging hardware.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
