    Etching on Midyear Trim Tag?

    Has anybody ever seen a midyear trim tag with information etched into the plate? This one has "5013L" etched into the trim tag.

          The car is milano maroon, but one of the previous owners said was was green at one time. I think you answered my question of why it is there. Thanks Joe.
