1965 A/C tubing finish to/from the receiver dryer to the condenser

What is the correct color/finish of the a/c tubing that runs from the receiver dryer to the condenser? Is it supposed to be natural aluminum, black or did it receive black out?

    Thanks,

    James

    Hi James,
Here are 3 photos of my 1965 327/365 air condition dryer and lines. It appears to me that it was hit with a little black out

      James,
My original '65 A/C coupe (built 3rd week of July '65) and in the process of a full frame off restoration, shows that the air condition dryer and lines also have black out on them. However, the 6th Edition of the Corvette technical information manual and judging guide shows them without the black out (ref: page 180, jpeg #s: M17-10 and M17-11).

Should have added to my post above that the 3 photos of the drier/lines and hoses are from a Dec 1964 built car.

Thanks for the responses. Ray, my car was a later July built car also, 2209x. The car is original except for a repaint in the late 1970's. I'm tryin to determine if they may have been blacked out at that time after the repaint.

          Thanks,

          James

            James,
FYI: my '65 was built during the third week of July, the VIN is 2267x. According to the previous owners and documentation, it was only re-painted once, way back in 1978. I do know that since I started my frame off restoration, I have not found too many variances on or from the original OEM parts. But, since these classics can't talk, I like you, really don't know if the lines were blacked out or not.
