What is the best way to access and remove the 2 nuts on each end of the windshield frame so I can remove the frame? Thanks.

Tim, Does your car have Courtesy Lamps? If so I have heard that if you remove them you can get access to the hardware.

If not, could you use ratchet extensions and a Flex-Socket? That's what I use on the 58-62's. However I've never done this on the 53-55's.

Well my PO decided he couldn't answer your question so he simply didn't reinstall last nut in each side. She definitely is very tight in there. Take the time to carefully remove courtesy light and you will have room with a shallow flex socket, but the ratchet will have a very short throw back in there. Getting washer and nut started was a special joy. I did this with my complete dash removed, and all underdash wide open. I can't imagine doing it with steering column, Pb handle and everything else in there.

Need someone with small hands and flexible body. Plus shallow flex ratchet socket. Requires many short turns to remove nut.
