Regarding the front license plate bracket, the following statement is found on page 81 of the '67 TIM/JG: "It also has TWO ( my caps) stamped holes approximately 3/8" square to accept white plastic nuts for license plate mounting and A ( meaning one, my cap) round hole toward the center for a black rubber bumper." I have several questions:
1) The repo brackets as well as several service 3878898 brackets on ebay with GM P/N labels still attached, all have FOUR stamped square holes for license plate attachment, and TWO round holes for bumpers. Are they different from factory brackets?
2) If four square holes for plastic nuts is correct, do I install plastic nuts and/or screws in all four holes or just the top two?
3) If two rubber bumper holes is correct, do I just install a bumper in the lower hole?
4) Is there even such a thing as a TFP front license bracket? Did all cars leave the factory with one, or were they dealer supplied in the states that require a front license plate?
Thanks
Rick
