The way that I read this it is going to be implemented now? Should not these areas be address before before being implemented? I can see if a stripe has clear coat on top it I understand that part, or the wrong color. Just trying understand if any one little thing about the stripe is wrong is it a 40% deduct?

Re: 1967 BB Hood Stripe 40% Deduct
I lost 85 raw points for paint under item #2 "BODY PAINT" of the exterior judging sheet the last time the car was judged....
.
Now I guess I'll lose another 40 points under item #1 "BODY COLOR".... My car is Marina blue with a black stripe......
My car is just too smooth and shiny...................

Agreed Mike, I have two good friends who were very involved with NCRS who will not be back because of these type of issues.Last edited by Steve B.; March 23, 2018, 08:01 AM.- Top

I do not understand what is written in the italics. Perhaps in addition to addressing the underlying concept a concerted effort should be made to set that concept forth in clear and understandable English.- Top

Re: 1967 BB Hood Stripe 40% Deduct
We have covered the 67 hood stinger in detail during the advanced judges school quite a number of times.
IMHO it is this shared knowledge that will satisfy owner and judge as to the critical features that are supposed to be in place to receive full credit.Last edited by Gene M.; March 23, 2018, 06:59 PM.- Top

Re: 1967 BB Hood Stripe 40% Deduct
Realistically if the painted stinger was missing totally. That would not comprise 40% of all painted area of the car. My guess it is about 7 or 8% of the total painted area. So having it missing would be preferred situation vs having it incorrectly applied.
Possibly 7 or 8% for missing color too.Last edited by Gene M.; March 23, 2018, 06:52 PM.- Top
