A little more needs to be addressed to the new JM on page 178 on the 427 390hp. It talks as if 68 and 69 were the same. It looks like there may be a big difference not only in the line, as discussed earlier, but also in attachment. See pictured 68 AIM and 69 AIM L36, A5. The 68 clip attachment #3784832 is way different in attaching, it use the exhaust manifold compared to the 69 #3954228 which has

a dedicated boss. I tried to attach my clip and bolt (10, 11 &12 in the 68 AIM) to the boss of 69 and it didn't go in?? Don't judge the 68 and 69 the same - that JM picture is a 69 not a 68.

I got the clip and bolt with star washer back on the boss. It had a bunch of paint in the hole.
