    Door Panel Differences C-3s

Which years had the same door panels as the 1971 (standard)? From what Ive read the 1970-1976 used the same door panels--Is that correct?

    Thanks Paul

Are the 1969 door panels the same as 1971?

        No, 1969 panels are a one-year-only design.

Started looking at finding a better door panel for my 1971 and am now confused about the door panels. The NCRS CTIMJG says "the standard door panels have a raised patterned grain area which minics the Comfortweave pattern of the seats, running horizontally along the upper middle portion." That is what I have on my doors, BUT the picture of page 18, Figure 13.1 of the standard door panel the upper middle area appears smooth. The replacement door panels in Koch, Corvette America, etc and most I have seen for sale stating to be from a 1971 appear to have a smooth surface--NOT a raised patterned area. Are the pictures wrong? Which year doors have the raised pattern?? Can some clarify and/or post some photos??

            Thanks Paul

I 3.1 definitely has graining of the upper door panel. Time for new glasses, Paul? 😁. I can even see it here on my iPhone screen while waiting for a baby to arrive. Edit - attached a picture for you.

Reproduction panels have graining that is less distinct. Don't use them
as an example of what should be.

              70-76 should be the same.

I see the graining now--yes should have used my glasses and turned the lights on. Very evident on the attached photo. Are there years where to door panels looked exactly the same but had no graining on the panels? Thanks for the photo and the help.

All standard panels from 1970-76 have the grain. 1977 is unique and (I think) is smooth.
