Were there any other paint marks or differences in the 57 Posi trac axle housing .

If you are asking if there are any paint marks on the red oxide carrier (pumpkin) itself, the answer is yes. My July dated carrier has yellow and blue inspection/assembly paint markings on it.

I've added some pictures of my July dated restored carrier that is in my '57 Nomad. Unfortunately, the pictures of the unrestored carrier are on old school photographs but I can assure you that I duplicated the markings precisely, right down to the colors. I do not know what the number ''31'' represents.
