Best way to remove/replace head lamp door relay valve- 1970

What's the best way to access the head lamp door relay valves? I need to replace one. Getting to them isn't obvious; just about everything is in the way.

The CSM isn't helpful. "Remove two screws... and lift from engine compartment".

    Thanks,

    Open hood.
    Go by feel.

That's it. You can try with a mirror as well, but usually I can do as much using the mirror in my head as one positioned to see the two bolts.

Mark, You maybe able to remove the bolts from the openings under the front of car while laying on your back or while on a lift. Just be careful not to break the bolts they will tend to rust in place.

Remove front license plate bracket, or do we call them tags??? Remove the center grille, 4-screws, pull out of the opening. Reach in thru the grille opening (where the grille use to be) and remove the screws, 5/16" socket and short extension. Removed one Friday doing it this way.

Easy to see, no touchy, feeley, mirror stuff.

It is not unusual in my real job for me to need to evaluate objects by their tactile nature and without seeing them, so perhaps I'm used to it.

I'm tempted to share a proctologist joke, but won't go up there.

Used this method tonight. Piece of cake. Thanks Gary.
