Joe, I always wondered about that because of some of the discrepancies seen. Thanks for your input. Do you have an opinion on which hose clamp design was used for the later VIN '64's?

I have a early 64 Vin# 2405, the car is low miles and was not apart till I owned it 20 years ago. The clamps are solid steel type. BUT I have pictures of a 64 in the 36-- range NCRS Bow Tie car with straps. So you tell me??????????

Thanks everybody. So who makes the correct strap? I am definitely leaning that way with Mike Lombardi's and Michael Johnson's responses. If the aluminum is incorrect, who makes a steel strap?

I have never seen any for sale, not even on eBay. I have had 4 '64s judged, from VIN 6K to VIN 19K with aluminum straps and never a deduction.
