    67 sb cylinder head paint?

The attached photos are from a 31k-mile 350hp 67. There are areas of no paint, areas of heavy paint, and (it appears to me), areas of dusting of silver paint from the silver dusting around the intake manifold. (Seen most clearly above the right hand exhaust port)
No sign of a mask like they used by C3 vintage head painting. First time this engine has been touched. Car sat for 40 years (see pic) Your comments on head paint are appreciated.

It almost appears like the cylinder head had a touch up at some time.

Re: 67 sb cylinder head paint?

Mike, you and Patrick had responded to my post regarding my 67 engine "HO" grease pencil marking and had asked about the paint on my cylinder heads. Patrick wanted to see if the "boot' covering was used in 67. I've attached several pics i took today of both sides. The exh manifolds have never been off the engine so paint is or isn't there from day one. I still haven't had anyone respond to my question about the v/c sticker being on the pass side rear instead of on the front of the v/c. This sticker also looks to have been there since 3/31/67. Any thoughts?
