    Fuses and issues

If you have recently purchased an older Corvette, you may want to check for correct fuses even if it had a body off restoration. I have a 1966 427 425HP that had a body off restoration prior to purchasing it. The manual calls for one 15 amp, three 10 amps, one 4 amp and one 3 amp. The car had four 25 amps and two 20 amp fuses in it. Looks like the guy purchased a box of 25 amp fuses. I had an issue with the rear courtesy light. The attached photo will identify what the problem caused. I have since then installed correct fuses and/or replace/checked/repaired all my wiring. Just identifying my experience.

      Oh my gosh!!!!!
You let the smoke out of the wires!!!!!

Seriously though, I'm glad you found the root cause before a total loss from fire.

Not relative to fuses, but thanks to Joe for using the proper term, "body off restoration," rather than the meaningless, "frame off."
