        Looks like good news

Antique auto battery is again making batteries but still not answering the phones

Turbo Start batteries https://turbostart.com/ will begin selling reproduction batteries again soon. Most will be AGM

A little history: New Castle Battery was the first company to do Delco(repo) tar top batteries That Company is now Turbostart

So if they are not answering the phones, what good is it they are allegedly "making the batteries again"? And will the coming soon, Turbostart batteries, collector series be made by Antique Auto Battery?

Based on at least one members experience do not pay up front for a battery from antique

Easy solution is to have your old repro/original batteries rebuilt.

That sounds good, but I have never heard of anyone who will do that, do you have names of vendors?

Yikes! Cutting into a battery case is not in my resume of skills, think I will pass and just buy a size 24 Delco that fits........

I'm joining the party a bit late...

Could someone Please confirm what I believe what I am understanding from above posts.

A "Freedom Battery Topper" place onto a standard, current production AC Delco 78PS battery yields 0 points?

If true, is there ever a place where a "Freedom Battery Topper" would help in points (or is it more a novelty only)?

Had my 67 judged at the Greenville regional in April. I have a battery topper on a Delco battery. I received a partial credit for the battery because it was a Delco.

Considering the strict and zero tolerance the judges have for any reproduction battery, no matter how dead nuts on it is, that is probably the cheapest solution.
