6 Month Rule Opinion - Holley Carburator - Engine Assembly June 28th 1972

What would be more desirable and more likely for the carburetor? A date code of 1st week in February of 72 or 1st week in June 72? The body build date is July 18th 1972. Thanks

Jack, my 1972 LT-1 has a build date of July 13th (L13 on the trim tag), the Holley carburetor has a date code of 244 on it, as far as I remember.
sorry, I'm in Florida at the moment and don't have access to all my pictures which are on my home computer in Connecticut.
so to answer your question, I think that a carburetor with a date code of the first week of June would be more appropriate.
      Regards

Thanks Roy. My 72 LT-1 is a July 19th build date and also is Elkhart Green.
