Is there a difference in the power antenna on a pace car with a CB than with just the stereo? THanks in advance.

Yes, there is a difference. I don't know what the difference is but there were different GM part numbers for 1978 with CB and without CB.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: power antenna 78 Pace car
The antenna mast has a coil on it that the base stereo mast does not. The body of the power antenna is different as well and accommodates a coaxial cable that runs to the radio.Tom Russo

Re: power antenna 78 Pace car
They are getting scarce. The service replacement number is the 79-82 and I'm sure Joe will post that number. also are you looking for base power antenna or base with CB option?Tom Russo

Re: power antenna 78 Pace car
The last available antenna assemblies that were like your original assembly and which were uniquely applicable to 1978-E1979 were as follows:
without CB------GM #22010409
with CB----------GM #22010410
The last available antenna assemblies that are, essentially, a "one size fits all" kind of thing and which were applicable to 1978-1982 are as follows:
without CB---------GM# 22048621
with CB-------------GM# 12355106
ALL of the above are GM-discontinued.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
