Yes, there is a difference. I don't know what the difference is but there were different GM part numbers for 1978 with CB and without CB.

The antenna mast has a coil on it that the base stereo mast does not. The body of the power antenna is different as well and accommodates a coaxial cable that runs to the radio.

They are getting scarce. The service replacement number is the 79-82 and I'm sure Joe will post that number. also are you looking for base power antenna or base with CB option?
