    67 California delivered JC Code

I am interested in a car which was originally shipped to California. Is it possible that this car did not come with AIR ? ( JF code). The 427/400 hp motor is JC code at present .... thanks for your help

No, K19 was mandatory on all '67 Corvettes sold and registered new in California.

As an aside, I believe the GM data for the shipping info reflects the ordering information. A subsequent dealer trade/tranfer would not be shown.

Correct, it would just be another piece of the puzzle. If it shipped to a Nevada or Arizona dealer it might add to the dealer trade theory, but if it went to the mid-west, a dealer trade would be highly unlikely.

We know of one '67 400 horse with Canadian paperwork that came with K19, who knows why a Canadian car had smog. I owned a '66 300 horse that was purchased at Luby Chevrolet in Denver and registered new in California with no smog pump. That one probably should have been rejected by California. The Warranty Plate has a California address on it.

Hi Mark, I am in the process of getting the engine pad and protecto plate checked out. If both check out positive and the NCRS shipping data reflects the protecto than the mystery is solved ?
