    AC PO Valve Rebuild

Has anyone had a 67-72 POA Valve rebuild with good results?

Ed Classic Auto Air rebuilt mine. Have had no issues with it. If you check the Driveline, you will see NOS ones are available from the dude in California at a reasonable price. Just a second choice. CAA probably has one in stock if you are not interested in keeping your "original to the car" POA valve that they will exchange with you, if you are in a hurry.

      Ed,

Did you contact the suppliers we mentioned in your previous thread?

        Patrick,
I have not talked to any venders yet. I have heard some bad stories about the reliability of rebuilt POA valves, and was looking for some input from members as to their experience. The POA valve is very difficult to get at and with the cost of R12, I am not looking to open the system for a bad valve. The adds form all the venders tell you they are the best and the valves a guaranteed. The cost of the valve is small, compared to the R12 and the labor.

OK. I somehow thought you were going to be rebuilding everything at this point.
