    C2 Radial Tires

Hello everyone. Sorry for starting a new thread but there are thousands of replies from 2004 and tires have changed so much since.

I have a 1966 Stingray with Michelin 205/70/R15s with 5/8 W/W. The center on the treads are dry rotted and I need new tires. I have had them on there since at least 2003. All the main brand tire companies look like they stopped making these tires. I came across Cooper Trendsetter SE, Hankook Optimo and Tiger Paw Uniroyal. These are the only radial 5/8 W/W I have seen. What do you guys think???

Any feed back would be greatly appreicated. Thank you.

I have recently bought the Hankook Optimo, 205-75-15 and they are fine, I also bought a set of Goodyear Assurance All Season tires in the same size, and they are great. The 205X75X15s are more similar to the original tire dimensions than the 70 series.

Firestone Firehawk great black wall look
BFG was to make another run of the Radial TAs you might check with the big box stores, they can get you into the correct size tire and they have the size converters on their web sites, the rack converter seemed most accurate and would even let you upsize the rims if you want to get fancy

Thank you. I want to stick with the White Wall look. My Vett is White so the tires really pop.

Goodyear black wall looks good as well on white!

This is what the tires I have now look like on the Vett.

                  Hi Joe,

I too like the WW look. I put the Tiger Paws on a few years back and like them but.....the WW won't stay white. it urns brown. lacquer thinner helps but not 100%. To avoid, you have to go with Coker or something else where they make them to avoid that problem. I think Diamondback guarantees that won't happen. It's enough to make me consider replacing.

I too put the tiger paws on mine a couple of years ago. Have the same problem with the white wall turning dark on the edges. To try and get them white results in a good workout.

BF Goodrich has that size too.
