    1969-1972 BB Radiator ???

Here is my 1970 LS5 Radiator.
There is an overflow hose clip attached to the right side tank.
Since LS5's use an expansion tank I wouldn't expect to see this clip.
I've seen this once before and thought someone added it until seeing the same on my own car.

    Anyone else seen this before?
Did all 69-72 BB radiators originally have this clip?

    Thanks, Rick

Rick - If there was a hose attached, I would say it was suspect, but if the clip was already on it may have been for production purposes even though it was going to be installed with an overflow tank. This is just me speculating in regard to factory procedures.

I don't think the clip was added. It looks to me like it was always there whether, or not, it's seen in other similar applications. Also, given the code, the radiator is correct for your car.

As Ron and Joe stated we have seen this over and over again. At the radiator factory they installed the over flow clip on all radiators. The clip was not used until the 71 production but have seen them installed on early January 1970 production Corvettes. Even thou it was not used as the hose was routed differently.
