Who is the recommended source for window trim and other stainless restoration?

Most of the trim is chromed stainless. A simple buffing on a wheel and polish makes it new looking again . If you spend more time on the buffer it will look far better than it ever did when new.

I just polished all the stainless trim for my 65. The difference is incredible. The before and after are like comparing brushed aluminum to fresh chrome plating.

I’m in Alaska. So someone on the West Coast would be preferred.

Then my guy in Florida wouldn't work probably - he's incredible.

It sounds like he does not want to polish it himself. He wants somebody else to do it.

I've polished some larger pieces myself with good results....the thin curved piece around the split window rear glass is another thing altogether. The shape doesn't really lend itself to affixing it to a board for polishing (like C1 cove molding) and its fragile, expensive stuff.

I'll let a pro do that...

He knows how important it is not to overheat the stainless window moldings to keep them from warping.
Jim is also a wizard at removing the dings and dents.
