70 Convertible Lap belt Label with Shoulder Harness

Here is my question. I was looking at both original lap belts in my 70 convertible and neither has a label and there is no evidence of a label.

Since so few 70 Convertibles (500) had shoulder harnesses, is it possible the lap belts had no label? I would also be curious to see and original 70 lap belt label(s) with shoulder harness to see if they say something to the effect that shoulder harness is to be used only while using a lap belt too.

I surmise you are asking about the warning label not the one for assembly date. Page 30 of the latest edition JG has photos of both the lap and the shoulder belt labels. Lap belts are the same with or without shoulder belts. The one on the lap belt says only to wear the belt at all times and adjust snugly. The warning you reference is only on the should belt.

I have never seen belts without this label or the signs of its having been there.

Thank you Reba. Pretty sure I found the sticking that once affixed the labels. Garage is pretty dark and belts are black.

All labels were sewn on. There are usually marks in the material where the thread was, although they can be difficult to see on black.
