I believe that early versions of the GM #1917247 cap did have copper terminals. These were used in PRODUCTION and available in SERVICE for some period of time, I believe at least through 1957. At some point, the cap was revised to include aluminum terminals but I do not know when this change occurred.

i have A NOS 891 distributor date August 7 1957 it has Aluminum terminals . But could have been changed

It could be original. I just don't know, for sure, exactly when the terminal change occurred.
