C1 (59) Blackout Paint Question - Rear Wheel Wells

    Hi there.

Does anyone know where the blackout paint starts and stops on the rear wheel wells? I've looked up some pictures and most of the ones I've seen appear to have a small strip of paint color (about the width of the fender edging) remaining next to the blackout paint. I've attached a picture of mine. Last weekend, I sprayed undercoating inside the wheel wells (mostly tire width) and that is the black you're seeing in the attached picture.

Also, if you have a picture you can share that will pass judging standards on my blackout question, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your help.

Jill, Most that I have seen are fully blacked out except that wheel lip strip that follows the normally painted part down to where it ends nearest to the ground.

Sorry but I don't have any photos of that area.

Great, thanks Rich. That helps confirm what I've been seeing. Appreciate your response.

Jill here's a photo Rich Mauser had in his files that he just sent me. It's a original paint '59. It shows what I was trying to explain. My '59 is similar, albeit repainted in the 70's.
