I have removed rear differential parts for minor repairs. My differential, half shafts and drive shaft have been painted and I want to remove paint and return to natural finish as factory. What would be recommended process for stripping?

Re: Paint Stripping
For parts like this, consider a water-based remover like Citristrip. Non-toxic, no fumes, and won't burn your skin. Plus its more environmental friendly.

Re: Paint Stripping
Assuming the rear diff is going to come apart and be rebuilt, you can send it to a company like Bairs to have it stripped. I think they shot peen the housings and covers and then tumble them. The parts always come out nice.
For half shafts and drive shaft I know Quanta used to offer a polishing service. I don't believe they do it anymore but there are still guys doing that.
