I've been searching for a service that trues up pulleys. I must not be getting the correct terminology for the search. So, I'm asking for information on where I can get my wobbly pulleys straight so they run smooth vs. wobbly....... Thanks

Re: Water Pump and crank pulley straightening
Right. I've seen many more bad bearings and shafts than bent pulleys. Also check the pulley/hub mating surfaces. So check these also.Mark Edmondson

Re: Water Pump and crank pulley straightening
A pulley is a part that doesn't often fails; even more extraordinary to discover several pulleys failing. That's why it may be worthwhile to double check what's going on.Mark Edmondson

Re: Water Pump and crank pulley straightening
A friend had one straightened years ago. Took it to a machine shop, made a circular 'donut' a bit smaller than the diameter of the pulley and thicker than mounting surface with pulley bolt holes and put it in a press so flat/back side of pulley and donut were flat against the press. Went slow and careful and no more wave. Most shops should be able to do it.- Top
