Water Pump and crank pulley straightening

I've been searching for a service that trues up pulleys. I must not be getting the correct terminology for the search. So, I'm asking for information on where I can get my wobbly pulleys straight so they run smooth vs. wobbly....... Thanks

As an FYI, I once had a wobbly water pump pulley and ultimately discovered it to be a bent water pump shaft.

Right. I've seen many more bad bearings and shafts than bent pulleys. Also check the pulley/hub mating surfaces. So check these also.

It's not bent shafts, etc. The pulleys themselves are a combo of out of round and "wavy". I'm looking for a service that can true up these pulleys. Anyone have a source?

How did you determine the pulleys are out of round?

A pulley is a part that doesn't often fails; even more extraordinary to discover several pulleys failing. That's why it may be worthwhile to double check what's going on.

A friend had one straightened years ago. Took it to a machine shop, made a circular 'donut' a bit smaller than the diameter of the pulley and thicker than mounting surface with pulley bolt holes and put it in a press so flat/back side of pulley and donut were flat against the press. Went slow and careful and no more wave. Most shops should be able to do it.
