1957 Corvette Super Sport - American Heritage Award

Yesterday, John Baldwin's 1957 Corvette Super Sport has been signed off and accepted for the NCRS American Heritage Award here at the Florida Winter Regional in Lakeland. Congratulations to John and his special Corvette for this coveted award.

Special thanks to Tyler Townsley for recommending that John present the Super Sport for American Heritage consideration. I discovered that this award is extremely difficult to achieve, and the Super Sport is now one of only approximately fifty Corvettes ever to have reached this plateau.

I'll post a few photos of the car on display at the Event later today.

But John gets full credit. I just did a little finish up detailing and some wiring. John did the restoration 20 years ago. It still looks great.

Rich, does that translate into John brining the car to Vegas for the National? I think some of the folks out West who viewed the car in New Mexico in "slightly crumpled" condition would be interested in seeing it now. Congratulations, John.

JR, I was going to tell you that Rich already had more than I could tell you. About the only thing I could tell you is that one the teams "exploring" New Mexico for the car and making an offer - yah, you guessed it - Rich Mason and Mike Pillsbury.........

I was very pleased to see this car "in person" at the NCRS Winter Regional today. Although the weather was cool, that car is even cooler. Every bit as impressive as I thought it would be.
