Location of Power Window Relay on A 67

My 67 coupe came factory equipped with power windows. At some point the harness had a jumper wire installed which allows the windows to work without turning the key on, as is the case with earlier C2's. Although I actually like this better, I decided to make it correct, so I purchased a relay and mounting screws. Problem is, I don't know where the relay is supposed to mount. I believe from the location of the plug that it is in the drivers's side kick panel area near the power window circuit breaker, but I can't locate any screw holes. Evidently the original relay was removed and discarded. Thanks for your help.

    Rick,
The 7th edition of the '67 TIM&JG just went on sale in the online store...pictures in color. If you do not already have a TIM&JG for your car, now would be a perfect time to pick one up. All of your questions will be answered in there. To answer your question, the relay is located on the driver's side kick panel area. If you do not attain a picture before hand, I will take a picture when I get home this afternoon and post.

Leif, thanks very much for answering this question and also the one I posted about valve cover decals. Sadly, I purchased a TIM&JG from NCRS that I have only had for a matter of weeks, but it is the 6th edition, and it doesn't address either of these questions. A picture of the relay at your leisure will be greatly appreciated. I have many other items to address. Thanks again. Rick.

        Rick,
Unfortunately, I can't get a good picture of the relay location as my car has A/C and the ducting is in the way. Hopefully, another member without A/C will be able to get you a picture of their power window relay location.

Leif, thanks for trying. I think I may have figured it out. I see two threaded holes that appear to be the correct size and spacing up above the breakers near a lightening hole. A very difficult spot to get at due to the main wiring harness. I also read somewhere that repo relays ( like mine) are too large to allow the connector to be installed if mounted in the stock location. This appears to be the case with mine, if in fact I am eyeballing the correct location. Always something.

Rick, Take a look at the 4th photo in this post. It shows it tucked up in there. If the repro relay won't fit it may be necessary to mount it differently.

              Rick,
Post #7 in this thread is the best pic I have found for you. The link for this thread has over 8000 incredibly detailed pictures of a '67 that Rich Mozzetta restored...they should provide a wealth of information for you.

Hi Rich. Yep, that's the location I was looking at. Thanks for posting and confirming this for me ! For now, I have the relay mounted where there is a relay shown in your picture 5 ( on the cross brace.) This brings up yet another question - what IS the relay shown in picture 5, as my car had nothing mounted there. Thanks again, Rick.
