Quick question about a 67 BB w/air, automatic and power steering. Should that have the power steering pump belt guard? Can't seem to find that in the judging manual or assembly. Thanks for the help.

Re: 67 427 w/ ac/auto/power steering
Kris,
Mine does not have one. Because the alternator belt just runs from the P/S pump pulley there is no need for a guard that I can see. 327's did have the guard. My old parts book only shows the guard for small blocks.
This is just my observation, Gary has probably forgot more than I will ever know.
Kind regards- Top

My 67 silver / black 390 ,PG AIR, PS, PB, PW 2 top convert that I restored in 1990 did NOT have the guard. I bought it from the 2nd owner who had it since 1977, and he bought it from original owner.Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Love Rochester Fuel Injection 57-65 cars. Love CORVETTE RACE CARS

Re: 67 427 w/ ac/auto/power steering
From the 1967 Fifth Edition JudginOn air-condition equipped cars, a U shape steel belt guard wraps around the inboard side of the pulley hub and is attached at each end with a hex head bolt and lock washer.
Not sure what the sixth edition and the seventh edition says.- Top
