    Build sheets for 1975

Where was the "tank sticker" located on '75 Vettes? Was is only on the top of the fuel tank like on my 67 or was it else where? behind the dash? under the seats? someplace else? Multiple copies and locations?

It is possible to find one in any of the places you listed Don. Some have been found underneath the cars tucked up in the suspension parts.

      Don

It's important to understand that the only factory practice was the gas tank location. All others were just pieces left over and randomly left behind. There were seven copies, all having a red number in the lower left corner. Supposedly, these went to various assembly lines such as trim, chassis (tank sticker), inspection, etc. Below, as note by JimmyP, is a photo of the buildsheet folded and tucked into a strut bracket. Typically, such finds as these are on low-mileage Corvettes. This particular one was found on a 1978 Silver Anniversary model, L82, M21. It still reeked over differential fluid! The second photo illustrates the font style of the numbered copies with as #7. This came from a 1974 manifest with LS4 M20

It's my next door neighbor's car, it was his Dad's. It only has 22,000 miles, but it is severely weathered - severely weathered.
Since it is in my garage, I'll take a look in the places mentioned.
        Thanks

It would have been on the top of the metal shield that covers the gas tank. Also, look between the tach & speedometer.
