    Barrett Jackson Scottsdale

Heading to BJ next week and just a quick inquiry on NCRS presence. Does our group typically have a booth to promote membership the hobby etc. and are we involved with award/document verification to confirm consignor claims? By appointment ?

Was there in 2016 and NCRS did have a large booth selling all things NCRS which was great. From what I recall, I believe BJ does award confirmations/verifications on any Corvette claiming an award through NCRS. Have a good time...it is a great show.

We do have a booth there. It is located in the Equestrian Building next to BJ's office. We will be selling manuals and memberships. BJ does request award confirmation on any Corvette claiming an NCRS award.

When I sold my 70 LT-1 2 years ago. NCRS put a sticker verifying that the Corvette had been judged but not what flight award it received. I did not ask for it so I believe they check all Corvettes. Maybe Roy will post whether they still do.

Yes, Barrett-Jackson through association with NCRS does attempt to confirm award claims prior to the auction, those that can be confirmed are acknowledged by an Award Confirmation Document from NCRS and a sticker from Barrett-Jackson, that service is not the result of some onsite process NCRS provides.

No, NCRS does not provide an onsite service for sellers, attendees or buyers with respect to Award Claims, Vehicle Authenticity or Vehicle Configuration!!!

There is usually a good sized booth or tent from NCRS there , and it really doesn't start for about a week and a half. Don't go next week !

My mistake , it does open on the 13th . Auction isn't until next week .

When the Bidder's Bar is open, the Auction has officially commenced.

years ago, our local AACA chapter took a tour bus to Atlantic City NJ for the auto auction that occurs yearly around presidents day in feb. one of our members elected to purchase a bidders pass(which entitled him to multiple free visas to the bar, where he partook on way too many free scotches. a huge Cadillac limo came up for bid and he was the winner( I recall he paid about 2500 bucks for the beast). that evening, he was beside himself with joy, having procured a near mint caddy. the next morning, sober, he realized the caddy was about two feet too long to fit in his garage. he then put the caddy back in the auction and it brought about 1500 bucks. we still remind him the 10 scotches cost him a hundred bucks a piece. mike

It should remind us all DO NOT DRINK & BID OR BUY. It's usually like being drunk & picking up a good looking women at closing time. Trust me they don't look the same the next morning. LOL

Mike's "Limo Story" is undoubtedly the reason for B-J's "Save-The-Bidders" Daily Ten Free Drinks Limit (punchouts)....you know, Good PR
