Happy holidays everyone!
I recently had the rubber cushions for the leaf spring bolts replaced on my 1973. The lower washers were installed differently on each side: the right side has the flat edge of washer facing the cushion, and the left side has the rounded edge facing the cushion. Which is correct? Does it matter for proper function?
I remember reading a checklist by John Pfanstiehl which said the washer should be installed rounded edge towards the cushion for authenticity. I could find no reference in 1973-74 TIM&JG.
Pics below, sorry they are sideways.
