1963 Coupe # 16309

The original F.I. block, heads and possibly original F.I. unit for 63 coupe have recently been listed on this web site's orphan parts forum. This car is believed to be in Virginia. The owner of these parts is terminally ill and would like to sell the parts to the car's current owner. I have no financial interest in this. Just trying to help out a family and reunite original parts to a car.

Patrick thank you for your offer. However, it was posted on the Corvette Forum Normal Thread section and immediately was moved to the Orphan Sticky Thread section. Unfortunately Orphan thread forums do not get the viewing technical or general forums do.

Rick, the source I normally use for checking does NOT show this as a currently registered VIN.

I put 30837S116309 in Auto Data Direct, and $4.95 later it said there was a clean Virginia title issued in 1988. It didn't show any title activity since then. I don't know if that site includes license plate registration data. The Virginia DMV won't give me any info on-line.

Jerry, that was who told me they had nothing! Rick, does that help your owner? Has he got a buddy in VA law enforcement?

I have been working with Jerry Bramlett on trying to locate this car and help out a terminally ill fellow corvette enthusiast and his family. I don't know anyone in VA law enforcement.

Rick, I happen to be in Virginia visiting my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. He is military but there is a sheriff across the street from their house. I know nothing about the engine or car but am willing to ask. Would you mind sending me the VIN?

Rick, I attempted to speak with the State Trooper and had no luck speaking with him. It seems he is working late hours and sleeping during the day. However, I did leave him a note to please call me. Hopefully, it will lead to something for you. I did stumble across someone selling 1963 pieces he bought approximately 30 years ago. Let's hope this is not the car. Same person has an upper hood surround for sale. He claims it is original, early production, and NOS. Upon further questioning, he stated it is black fiberglass and all early production replacement parts are black fiberglass. I always thought early C2 was white? Anyway, I will keep you posted.
oh, I should ask, do you know if the 63 was originally purchased in Virginia? It seems it may help in tracking if it was.
